Sketch of ideas:
Please describe the desired topic(s) in more detail in the form of an idea sketch (max. one page per topic). The idea sketch should be a description of the subject and aim of the work, not yet a complete disposition. Please also explain why you would like to work on a topic or one of the topics mentioned. If there are several topics, please also mention which one you prefer.
Your documents will first be checked by the chair. In the best case, we will then invite you to a preliminary meeting at the chair. This is usually followed by a thematic clarification: we may ask you to explain the reasons for your outline of ideas/suggested topics in more detail, and it is not uncommon for a really suitable topic to be found during or after the preliminary meeting. In any case, it is necessary for you to think about what other topics you are interested in and where your main areas of interest lie before this meeting. You will then define the specific question or thesis that will actually fill out the topic of your thesis during the subsequent development of the disposition and, above all, when writing your thesis itself.
If Prof. Liebrecht decides to supervise your Master's thesis, the general conditions will be set out in writing in the Master's Thesis Agreement. You must then submit this agreement together with your Master's thesis. More information on the RWF website.
