Modern Times. Legal History of Modern Europe (MLaw)

In Spring Semester 2026, Prof. Liebrecht offers the course "Modern Times: Legal History of Modern Europe". This course is aimed at students persuing a Master's Degree.

The course traces the historical development of liberal law from the French Revolution onwards in a comparative European context. The course gives space and opportunity for in-depth discussions of aspects and problems involved. Thereby, a precise reflection on texts and logical argumentation - crucial for legal practice - will be developed.
