Over the last decades, and increasingly over the last couple of years, the Middle East has become a key player on the world stage and the region keeps evolving at a fast pace. The knowledge of the basic legal principles and current laws and regulations has become to be a pivotal element in the understanding of the on-going transformations in the region. In order to make these laws more accessible to a wider audience, the Center for Islamic and Middle Eastern Legal Studies (CIMELS) has taken the initiative to collect and to list internet-accessible sources of Middle Eastern laws and regulations and other legal materials by country. The collection, which also features legislation from selected African and Southeast Asian countries, is currently under construction and will be supplemented and updated continually. Please refer to the option "Countries" in order to access the collection.
