25 March 2025 - Dietrich Schindler Lecture with Prof. Eyal Benvenisti
The «Dietrich Schindler Lectures» – a lecture series with international top speakers – was launched in 2019 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Institute for International and Comparative Constitutional Law at the University of Zurich.
This semester’s «Schindler Lecture» will be held by Prof. Eyal Benvenisti. He is Emeritus Whewell Professor of International Law at the University of Cambridge and Director of the Center for Applied Research on Risks to Democracy at Tel Aviv University. In his lecture, Prof. Benvenisti will explore whether international law can uphold its authority in the face of its systematic disregard by nuclear-armed states wielding veto power in the Security Council.
The event will take place on Tuesday, 25 March 2025, from 18:15 to 19:30h in the Small Aula of the University of Zurich (RAA-G-01), located at Rämistrasse 59, 8001 Zurich.
Admission is free, space, however, is limited.
