Postponement of Service
Information on postponing military service can be found on the website of the Swiss Armed Forces.
The Student Centre of the Faculty of Law supports the request for postponment of military service as mandatory if one of the obligatory reasons according to Section 2, Art 50 WMPD CdA is fulfilled (see form for postponment of military service). If no obligatory reason in accordance with Section 2, Art. 50 WMPD CdA is fulfilled, but the military service takes place during the semester, a recommendation for approval can be issued according to the comment.

To obtain the required signature from the Student Center, please submit the completed application directly via the Army’s service manager. It is no longer necessary to submit the form to the Student Center.
For the postponement of civil protection service, you can contact the Student Center directly as before. Please submit your request as well as the corresponding call-up notice via the contact form.
