Lecture contents

The dynamic development of commercial law is closely intertwined not only with changes in economic forms of action and regulatory structures, but also with changes in political rule and cultural practices. The course will examine these phenomena. The focus will be on the historical development paths of the market order and the market participants in their interrelationships. The examination begins in the Middle Ages, but will focus on the modern era and the modern age.

Format of the course

The lecture will take place as a face-to-face event . In the days following the lecture, a recording will be available as a podcast in the Legal History App.
