HSF Competition Law Moot Court
The HSF Competition Law Moot is organized by King's College London and offers students worldwide the opportunity to participate in an international competition in competition law. As part of the moot court, teams work on a competition law case and submit briefs, which are evaluated by academics and practitioners in the field. The twelve highest-ranked teams are invited to the oral hearing. The competition enables students to deepen their legal analysis, argumentation, and pleading techniques in front of a jury of international experts.
The general timeline of the competition is as follows [exact dates tbd]:
- Early December: Publication of the case.
- End of January: Final selection of the UZH team.
- Beginning of February until the middle of March: Writing period. Individual research and writing, as well as regular meetings with your team members and the coaches to discuss progress.
- Middle/end of March: Hand in of written pleading [approximately 8 pages per person].
- End of March and beginning of April: Preparation of oral rounds.
- Middle of April: Announcement of the teams that have qualified for the final in London.
- Middle of April and May: Practising of the oral pleading [10-15 minutes per person]. Practice rounds of the oral pleading.
