Alexander Rom studied law at the University of Zurich from 2015 to 2021. After completing his studies in which he was awarded an Orelli Prize for his master's thesis "Are Internet RFCs Law?", he worked at a leading Swiss corporate law firm focusing on IP/IT and data protection.
Prior to that, he completed a short internship in the area of white-collar criminal law as well as in a large Swiss media company and tutored for several semesters with Lion's Exchange at the University of Zurich. Furthermore, he worked as a junior assistant at the chair of Prof. Dr. iur. Christoph Beat Graber during his studies.
In the course of his PhD, he has been working as a research assistant at the Chair of Legal Sociology with particular focus on Media Law of Prof. Dr. iur. Christoph Beat Graber since March 2023.
