In his dissertation, Luca Ranzoni examines the question of the realisation of legal equality in Swiss sentencing. In addition to analysing the literature and case law, the subject of the study is also approached empirically. To this end, a vignette study is conducted with all Swiss criminal courts of first instance. Based on the findings, improvements to sentencing practice will be proposed.
