Comparative analysis of the following topics of Administrative Law:

1. Legal Sources
2. Private – Public Law Divide
3.
Administrative Action
4. Judicial Review and Administrative Discretion
5. Administrative Law Principles: Legality,
Public Interest and Proportionality
6. Administrative Law Principles:
Legitimate Expectations
7. Standards of Good Administration

 

The course looks into the rules of Administrative Law from a comparative perspective. Problems that may arise in the administrative context are illustrated by cases and other materials. Students are asked to comment on these cases and compare them – if possible – to their own legal background.

Exam:

Participation in Class (33 % of final grade); Exam at the End of Semester (oral) on Dec. 20th and Dec. 21st.
